About Us

City People’s Garden Store is a locally owned and operated community garden store. Since opening in 1988 in Madison Valley, we have been committed to offering a wide selection of quality plants and organic and natural products to help you grow them.

With over 15,000 square feet, the outdoor nursery was an urban oasis filled with an incredible selection of fresh landscape plants for every type of location. In November and December, it became a beautiful Christmas Tree lot. Inside, the gifts and furniture are fun, enticing, and reasonably priced.

In 2016 the land on which the Garden Store sat was sold to developers but the store remained open with lease extensions offered until March 31st, 2023. 

Owner since 2017, Alison Greene is actively looking for a new site for the store.
